Indonesia's largest thermal coal producer PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) today reports a 21.09% rise in coal sales volume in the first half this year (1H 2010) compared to the same period last year.
BUMI Director Dileep Srivastava said the company posted 31 million tons of coal sales volume in 1H 2010 from a year earlier of 25.6 million tons.
"Coal production in H1 2010 reached 30.2 million tons, a 12.69% increase from a year earlier of 26.8 million tons," said Dileep to Insider Stories today.
In the first three months this year, Bumi booked 16 million tons of coal sales volume, 41.59% higher than the same period last year of 11.3 million tons.
Considering the first quarter volume, it means Bumi posted 15 million tons of coal sales volume in the second quarter this year.
