Parent company of Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) today reports a 189.13% jump in its net profit during the first half this year (1H 2010) as a result of robust revenue growth as well as lowering operating expenses.
In the financial report submitted to Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Surya Citra posted Rp210.44 billion of net profit or Rp110.09 per share during the first half of this year from a year earlier of Rp72.78 billion or Rp38.28 per share.
Operating profit rose 118.50% from Rp149.43 billion in 1H 2009 to Rp326.51 billion in 1H 2010. Net revenue increased 23.46% from Rp712.20 billion in 1H 2009 to 1H 2010 Rp879.29 billion.
PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk controls 85.78% stakes in Surya Citra Media and the remaining is owned by public share holders.
