Astra Agro 10M FFB output falls 2.9%

Fresh fruit bunch (TBS) of palm oil produced by PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk was slightly decrease by 2.9% from 3.56 million tons in the period of January-October 2009 to 2.46 million tons during January to October this year.
In a monthly report to investors posted in the company official site and also submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), the yield of FFB of Astra Agro was also decreased by 8.5% from 18.05% in the first 10 months of 2009 to 16, 51% in the same period this year.
A little different from the production, the number of processed FFB of the company increased slightly by 0.5% from a total of 3.9 million tons to 3.91 million tons in the same period.
The increase was supported by the processing of fresh fruit bunch from third parties as much as 36.1% from 333 699 tons in the first ten months last year to 454,024 tons in the same period this year.
Production of crude palm oil (CPO) for the first ten months of 2010 also slightly increased by 0.1% from the level of 896,912 tons as of October 2009 to 897,711 tons as of October 2010. Production of palm kernel also increased slightly by 0.3% from 193,180 tons by October 2009 to 193,803 tons as of October 2010.
The company saw that CPO production for a month in October reached 120,501 tons was the highest point of production compared to other months this year. The CPO production in September reached 102.400 tons, then in August as many as 106,500 tons.
The stock prices of Astra Agro (AALI-coded stock) was closed lower by 4.02% or IDR1,050 to the level of IDR25,050 this afternoon. Astra booked a market capitalization if IDR39.45 trillion in today’s trading.
