National cement production is estimated to outstrip 54 million tons by 2014, in line with newly installed production capacity from Indonesian cement producers in the next 2 years.
Chairman Urip Trimuryono of Indonesia Cement Association said cement output enables to fulfill demand in both export and domestic markets in 2014.
"We target all cement output will be absorbed by the domestic market demand. In 2011, we estimate there will be no cement export activities," he said.
Cement production in 2010 is calculated to reach 42 million tons, a 10% increase from last year's output of 38 million tons.
