CDMA-based telephone operator PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk (BTEL) plans to spend US$200 million capital expenditure (capex) this year to develop business. The company will use internally generated cash to meet the capex.
Bakrie Telecom Finance Director Jastiro Abi told Insider Stories that in 2010, Bakrie Telecom obtained loan facility of US$300 million from ICBC.
But, he declined to give further number of subscibers. The operator expected to grab above 14 million subscribers last year from the total capacity of 20 million subscribers. Its unit PT Bakrie Connectivity is eyeing 100,000 subscribers.
