Bank Mandiri posts Rp8.5 trio net profit

The state-owned PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) posted net profits of Rp8.5 trillion last year, the biggest profits they ever had since established in 1999.
The bank’s net profits rose Rp1.4 trillion compared to the same period in 2009 of Rp7.1 trillion
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Mustafa Abubakar said besides posting a high record on profit last year, the bank also becomes the biggest institutional lender in Indonesia along with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk.
“Of course as a public company, the figure have to be audited first before making to the final,” said Mustafa in his opening speech at Penghargaan Wirausaha Mandiri 2011.
