TOWR gains 1,133%, BIPI loses 27.14%

From 23 newly listed companies last year, tower provider PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), affiliated of Djarum Group, gained 1,133.33% last year, the highest level compared to 22 other newly listed companies.
Oil and gas PT Benakat Petroleum Energy Tbk (BIPI) posted 27.14% loss, the worst compared to other newly listed companies.
Along with Benakat, instant noodle maker PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (ICBP) and sea transportation provider PT Wintermar Offshore Marine Tbk (WINS) also posted 13.34% and 15.79% losses respectively.
Sarana Menara steeply surges before its two controlling shareholders placed their stakes at Rp12,000 per share, snapping up nearly Rp5 trillion cash from the bullish market.
The second and third positions were held by two banks, PT Bank Sinarmas Tbk (BSIM) and PT BPD Jabar dan Banten Tbk (BJBR).
Bank Sinarmas, which listed their shares last month, ranked second with 170% gain and Bank Jabar made a 141.67% gain by end of last year.
PT Multifiling Mitra Indonesia Tbk (MFMI), a Lippo Group affiliated as the last newly listed company last year, ranked fourth, sharing 112.5% gain to investors.
Salim Group affiliated bread maker PT Nippon Indosari Corpindo Tbk (ROTI) was in the fifth position as the top gainers by making a 107.84% increase.
Where are coal companies?
Thermal coal miner PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM), PT Berau Coal Energy Tbk (BRAU), and coking coal producer PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metal Tbk (BORN) made seventh, 12th, and 17th positions by providing 73.07%, 27.5%, and 14.53% gains.
Indonesia Stock Exchange Director Eddy Sugito said from 23 newly listed company, their shareholders bagged Rp29.67 trillion cash from the stock market. "We target 25 newly listed companies enter the market in 2011," he said.
