Bumi Plc names Badung as director

Bumi Plc, previously known as Vallar Plc, on July 1 has mandated Suyulianto Badung Tariono, 40, as a non-executive director with effect from 1 July 2011. 
Badung has considerable investment experience within the extractive industries sector and is currently the head of private equity at Trimegah Securities, Jakarta, Indonesia.
In 2008-2009, he was a portfolio manager and senior analyst, specializing in the energy, metal and mining sectors at UBS O'Connor Limited, based in London. 
Previously, he was a senior portfolio manager at ABN AMRO Asset Management and finance and business performance advisor at Shell International Exploration and Production (EP), both based in the Netherlands. "Badung has a strong track record in the highly regulated financial services environment with a focus on the energy and resources sector. That, combined with experience of both Indonesian and international business cultures, will be an asset to the board of Bumi," said Indra Bakrie, Chairman of Bumi Plc.
Badung Tariono is involved in a number of energy-related projects, such as an alternative energy development in Indonesia (as co-initiator and co-investor). His business activities are linked to the following geographic areas, the Netherlands, the UK, Indonesia and Singapore.
