PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (BNGA) is exploring an option to raise Rp1.5 trillion in the rupiah bond market this year.
As reported by Bisnis Indonesia today, CIMB Niaga has mandated its subsidiary, PT CIMB Securities, as the lead underwriter for the bond.
"The bond will mature in 3 and 5 years and they won't utilize a new regulation of shelf registration," said several sources.
CIMB Niaga Vice President Director Daniel James Rompas said he did not acknowledge about the intention. However, he said the possibility to issue bond is still there despite the positive situation in the local debt market.
