PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) bagged Rp56.26 billion cash from a sale of 170.48 million shares in a CPO unit PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations Tbk (UNSP).
BNBR soled the shares at Rp330 a share, a 11.86% premium from the closing level today at Rp295. R.A. Sri Dharmayanti, Director at Bakrie & Brothers, in an official statement filed to Indonesia Stock Exchange yesterday, said the shares sale, on December 2011, is aimed to settle the company's debt.
Post the sale, Bakrie still owns 3.72 billion shares in UNSP or 27.42% stake.
