A funny statement came out from State-Owned Minister Dahlan Iskan. He is usually easy to comment certain issues. However, regarding to the sudden step down of Director Michael Baskoro Palwo Nugroho at the state-controlled PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), Dahlan said he didn't know about the step down, which is something weird.
Dahlan said he can't push the management of PGN to disclose the reason behind Michael Baskoro's step down.
"I haven't read the letter. If Indonesia Stock Exchange clarified the reason, they have to explain it," Dahlan said.
Referring to the law No. 19/2003 about State-Owned Enterprises, SOE Minister is acting as shareholder meeting. When the SOE Minister is acting as shareholder meeting, the appointment and the replacement of directors at the state-owned enterprises should be determined by the minister.
So, the question is how Dahlan Iskan does not acknowledge about Michael Baskoro? What do you think?
PGN is now led by President Director Hendi Prio Santoso, Finance Director Riza Pahlevi Tabrani, Director of Technology and Development Jobi Triananda Hasjim, Director of Investment and Risk Management M. Wahid Sutopo, and Director of Human Resources and General Eko Soesamto Tjiptadi.
Disclosure: No position at the stock mentioned above.
