The state-controlled PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BNI) aims to issue a US$200 million-US$500 million subordinated bonds in the second half of this year.
President Director Gatot Suwondo, as quoted by Bisnis Indonesia today, said the bank will take the proceed first and may use it when the market starts unstable next year. The bank will use the proceed to support US$-based loan channeling. The bank, he said, is comfortable with the capital adequacy ratio between 15%-16%.
