Coal mining contractor PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID), Indonesia's second largest by market share, still suffered a Rp153.38 billion net loss last year, a slight narrow of 3.33% from Rp158.67 billion in the previous year.
Operating profit fell 35.49% to Rp669.24 billion from Rp1.04 trillion, while gross profit declined 19.26% to Rp1.09 trillion from Rp1.35 trillion on the back of higher cost of goods sold of 28.76%. Delta Dunia posted a 17.79% increase in net revenue to Rp6.82 trillion from Rp5.79 trillion.
New loan facilities
Delta Dunia also obtained US$53.44 million loan facilities from several lenders starting from January 2 to January 24 2012.
DOID is controlled by a consortium led by Northstar Pacific with back-up of Texas Pacific Group, GSIC, and China Investment Corporation.
